This pump packs some serious suction for something that fits in the palm of your hand! I like to pump in stimulation mode instead of the expression mode because of the longer drawn out sucks that cycle through. The amount of milk you get out after one of those is so satisfying! I own two other electric pumps and this one blows them out of the water!
Tried this pump after trying Elvie which didn't work for me. It's a bit more cumbersome but it's still glorious to have mobility while pumping now. Suction is great, it's strong even on the lowest setting so really sensitive people beware but it's working out fabulously for me. Love it. Louder than Elvie and Spectra but so so so worth it. Wish I had this six months ago as an exclusive pumper. Try it, try it, try
This pump was designed with the breast pumper in mind. Pros: It comes with a carrying bag, flange covers to keep crap out, bottles that are sturdy plastic (not the flimsy plastic that bends when sterilized), the bottles don’t topple over, the bottles come with holders, and the system is designed in a way that prevent milk spills even if somehow the system falls over (NO MORE SPILLED MILK WITH THIS BABY). This little pump is powerful and pumps just as good as the hospital grades. It is USB port rechargeable, so charge on the go! You can hack with just about any other system’s parts. Cons: The flange covers do not snap to the flanges; they’re really only effective if the system is upright. The flanges come in the standard 24mm (& maybe 28mm). If you need smaller sizes, I’m not sure that they are available. Flange inserts are an option from other makers however, the flange inserts that I use aren’t completely compatible; they pop out of the flanges. The idea of a tiny pump should not have been without a compact pumping system in mind. The flange and bottle setup is a quite large for such a tiny pump so you may need pump bras (who wants to buy pump bras????) Collection cups that go inside the bras would have been ideal!!! Like the Freemie cups or Spectra S9 Caracups. Neutral: Battery gives about 2-3 hours worth of pumping between charges.
Overall: THIS IS A GREAT PUMP to replace the hospital grade & to free your hand!!!
I am exclusively pumping because of my daughter’s TBI. When she got out of the NICU, I was pumping with my Motif Luna and I wasn’t happy with it. I had to be tied to a wall and it quickly lost suction. I bought a battery powered Spectra and that worked much better, but it was still so bulky to carry around, I always had to have bottles sticking out every few hours, and it took 30-45 minutes to empty. I couldn’t hold my baby while I was pumping and I couldn’t really get anything done in general. An OBGYN recommended the BabyBuddha pump and I ordered it along with the Legendairy Milk silicone collection cups. I am IN LOVE with this pump and the cups. I wasn’t a fan of the flanges that came with the pump so use the it with the Spectra/Motif flanges. I can empty my breasts within 20 minutes. The pump is so strong. I usually start on expression mode first because the long pull during the massage mode can be really painful before my nipples are warmed up. After 5 minutes or so, I switch to massage mode and use that until I’m empty. When I use the Legendairy Milk cups along with this pump, I am completely mobile, can move around quickly, and can get more stuff done. It even allows me to pump in the car, which is a HUGE help. At first, I used this pump 1-2 times per day and the Spectra the rest of the time, but now I exclusively use this pump. I pump 6-7 times per day and the battery lasts throughout the whole day before it needs to be charged. Overall, highly recommend! It’s GREAT!
Wow!!!! Five pumps later and I’m in heaven. I have larger breast so pumping has been a struggle. I always felt like I never pumped to empty and shortly after one session with BB I was right. Although you will have to toughen up for even level one it is completely worth it!!!!!!!! Best money I’ve spent.
